US President Donald Trump claimed that his supporters were responsible for the boos against singer Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl that the Philadelphia Eagles won against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Trump’s message about Taylor Swift after the booing

Trump took advantage of the platform to send a direct message about what happened in the stadium:

“The only one who had a worse night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” the mogul said in a post on Truth Social, his social network.

“She left the stadium booed. MAGA (“Make America Great Again”, the Trump base) does not forgive!” he added.

Taylor Swift’s presence at the Super Bowl

Swift attended the Super Bowl in New Orleans to watch her partner, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, play. Their relationship has linked the artist’s image to that of the Chiefs, as they both represent one of the fashionable couples in the United States.

When she appeared on the stadium screens, she was booed by some of the fans.

Taylor Swift was booed during the Chiefs game, but was it a sporting or political issue?

Although it might seem that those responsible for the boos were Philadelphia Eagles fans, Trump took the sporting rivalry into the political arena.

Swift publicly supported Trump’s rival, Democrat Kamala Harris, during the recent election campaign.

Kelce said this week that it was a “great honor” for Trump to be attending the game today, becoming the first US president to do so

Philadelphia Eagles break Kansas City Chiefs’ dream

The Philadelphia Eagles made history by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, breaking the hegemony of Mahomes and his team. After three years of absolute dominance in the playoffs, the Chiefs failed to impose themselves in New Orleans and saw the opportunity to achieve the coveted Three-Peat slip away.

This title is reminiscent of the one achieved in 2018, when the Eagles shocked Tom Brady’s Patriots with a legendary performance by Nick Foles. In 2025, the story is different, but the outcome is the same: Philadelphia ruining the dreams of a dynasty.
