Donald Trump fires jab at Joe Biden whilst golfing amid White House getaway

Donald Trump was seen putting his golfing skills on display, highlighting why he often touts his 38 golf club championships as the 47th President appeared alongside LIV Golf star, Brooks Koepka.

Also joined by NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, and Fox News‘ Bret Baier, the billionaire lined up a chip shot as his caddie removed the pin – which after a few practise swings, he rolled straight into the hole.

“Winning is always nice!” Trump captioned a Truth Social post as he smiled and continued on to the next hole, as the footage follows another round of potential remarks he has made about Joe Biden.

During a Thanksgiving video call with U.S. military personnel in 2024, he was asked about his “true golf handicap,” but Trump replied confidently, noting his invitation to Biden for a match, which has yet to be accepted.

“I mean, I’ve invited him, but he doesn’t want to show up,” Trump said. “Biden can’t hit a ball 30 yards. I’m telling you, I looked at his swing. He cannot hit a ball 30 yards.

“He said he was a six handicap. That was the only thing that made me angry. During the debate with him, he said he was a six. I said, ‘You’re not a six.’

“And he said, ‘Well, I’m an eight.’ I said, ‘That was quick. I picked up two.'”

Trump’s successful golf record: President boasts about beating kids

Golf is physically demanding because it requires precise coordination and control over the entire body. Each swing engages the legs, core, arms, and wrists, and even slight deviations in posture, grip, or timing can drastically affect the shot.

Players must also adjust for varied terrain, elevation changes, sand traps, water hazards, and wind, selecting the proper club and angle for each situation.

Additionally, walking 5-7 kilometers over uneven courses while carrying or pushing a bag adds to the endurance challenge, making physical consistency critical to performance.

Mentally, golf is equally grueling. It demands sustained focus over multiple hours, as one poor shot can derail confidence and impact subsequent swings so players must manage stress, maintain patience, and make strategic decisions for every shot.

Weighing risk versus reward in constantly changing conditions, the sport’s small margin for error amplifies pressure, requiring athletes to stay resilient and composed while relying solely on their own skill and judgment.

Success in golf is as much about mental toughness as it is about physical precision so it’s impressive that Trump has such a good record, so he claims.

“I’ve won 38 club championships,” Trump said. “And I don’t get to practice much. I won one last year. I won a club championship at a big club, beating a 27-year-old kid.

“I said, you know, I’m decades older than you, but I said, ‘The fairway doesn’t know how old you are as you walk up the middle, and he’s in the rough.’

“I’ve been a good golfer over the years. I guess I’m very – I got to be right around scratch or better. I beat a plus-three. That’s three better, three below par.

“If you look at it, for those that don’t know, in the finals of the club championship last year, with all I was going through and with no practice.

“So, I’m a good golfer.”
