The Dolphins trained for the second day at the Estadio Metropolitano, ahead of the first official NFL game in Madrid, and commented that they were fascinated with the facilities of Atletico Madrid.
While the Dolphins train at the Metropolitano, the Washington Commanders do so at Real Madrid’s Ciudad Deportiva.
Anthony Weaver, Miami’s defensive coordinator, was asked by MARCA if the locker room is excited to play on Sunday at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
“I hope you’re excited; I think it’s important that we educate the kids about what the stadium means,” Weaver told a press conference
He later compared Real Madrid’s home to the legendary Yankee Stadium in New York. The Yankees are the winningest team in Major League Baseball history
“It’s like playing baseball at Yankee Stadium, which is probably the equivalent of what we have in America. It will be an honor, and we certainly won’t take it for granted,” he added
