Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed that All-Star outfielder Teoscar Hernandez is “unwell”, so he is out of Monday’s lineup against the Colorado Rockies, with no certainty of how long he will be limited to action.

Hernandez is the latest Dodger to suffer a stomach infection. Mookie Betts suffered the most serious illness, losing almost 20 pounds and being sick for several weeks.

Teoscar Hernandez has been one of the Dodgers’ most productive hitters so far this season.

In 17 games, the right-handed hitter has a .281/.309/.563 batting average with five home runs, 16 RBIs (team leader) and an .872 OPS.

Kike Hernandez replaced the All-Star outfielder in the lineup, playing second base. Tommy Edman took over in center field, while Andy Pages moved to right field.

The Dodgers hope to have Teoscar Hernandez back Tuesday for the second game of the series against the Rockies. The Dodgers have lost three consecutive series and are 3-6 in their last nine games.
