Los Los Angeles Dodgers and Dave Roberts are bracing themselves for the illness of their star player Shohei Ohtani.

The Blues and their manager gave information regarding the Japanese two-way phenomenon.

Dodgers and Dave Roberts anticipate Shohei Ohtani’s illness

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced that Shohei Ohtani will not pitch against the San Francisco Giants, after his return was brought forward to having to pitch against the Baltimore Orioles last week, where he threw 70 pitches in three and two-thirds innings without allowing a run.

“We just felt like there was illness, we anticipated it, so just to give him a little extra rest after that last outing,” said Dave Roberts.

The Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani announcement fuels rumors about the possible return of a pitching star

With a new update on Shohei Ohtani, Roky Sasaki could have another chance to prove his worth in the Los Angeles Dodgers pitching staff, who hope that Roky Sasaki will be able to fill the void of his compatriot and Japanese teammate.

With Shohei Ohtani back in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ starting rotation, Roky Sasaki is likely to be moved to the bullpen. So even if Roky Sasaki is not in the starting rotation, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitching depth will be tested in the 2025 MLB playoffs.
