Deion Sanders fires back at one of the NFL’s most prominent personalities as Coach Prime tells Micah Parsons where he stands following the Dallas Cowboys star’s comments about Shedeur Sanders.
Parsons, regarded as the best linebacker in the sport, turned his eyes to the Colorado Buffaloes alumni’s performance at the 2025 NFL Draft as critics claimed the quarterback takes too long holding the ball.
Andre Cisco warned the 22-year-old via X.com (formerly Twitter) that he needs to let it go sooner otherwise NFL-standard defenses will waste no time either sacking the start, forcing an interception or a pass deflection.
But Darius Slayton, the New York Giants‘ wide receiver, contested that QBs can hold the ball for lengthy periods of time and can still succeed in the NFL as Tom Brady did with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Then enter Parsons, as the linebacker retorted on X.com that Brady and Sanders isn’t a fair comparison because of the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s reputation and legacy as the greatest quarterback of all time.
Coach Prime then got involved, having grown tired of the talk surrounding his son, as he told Cisco, Slayton, Parsons and even Tyreek Hill, who questioned the point of the debate, to silence themselves.
“Can we ALL get along,” Sanders said via X.com. “& the Sanders with a Capital “S” we earned that.”
Sanders to the Steelers?
Sanders‘ NFL Draft stock has slipped in recent weeks with concerns over his lifestyle and the ability to translate his talents to the NFL, despite him producing 4134 yards and 37 touchdowns in the 2024/25 NCAA season.
Reportedly on the books for the Las Vegas Raiders and even the Dallas Cowboys, that interest seems to have cooled now although a new pathway may open up with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson are the only QBs on the roster for the team after they parted ways with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, so could they move for Shedeur?
“An epic slide for Sanders cannot be ruled out if the Browns, Raiders and Saints pass in the top 10,” Brad Gagnon writes for Bleacher Report. “Teams could be thinking about next year’s class, and the Giants and Jets have committed to other guys.
“If Sanders drops into the middle of Round 1, the Steelers ought to consider a trade-up and a swing of the bat.”
