“I wish they could go together,” Deion shared. “That would be great.” While their draft projections may differ, Deion’s desire is that both sons find themselves in cities that will truly appreciate them for who they are. He emphasized the importance of a welcoming environment, where they can remain authentic and unapologetic.
Deion’s desire for his sons extends beyond simply landing on a winning team. He wants them to be in a place where their true selves are valued. “A city that they could just be themselves unapologetically,” he continued. “A place where people understand and appreciate them for what they bring to the table.”
Deion’s love for his role as head coach at Colorado has also been a major part of his family’s journey. He had no intention of leaving Boulder, stating that he wanted to build success from the ground up, rather than inheriting it.
