Deion Sanders Jr. and Travis Hunter have formed a great relationship, but the former has no problem competing with the latter and mocking him afterwards.

Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders‘ oldest son played college football as a wide receiver for the SMU Mustangs, but his talents were not enough to make it to the NFL.

However, he’s one of the biggest reasons why his father, alongside with brothers Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, have a strong presence in social media, with videos and photos that showcase their talent. Deion Sanders Jr. is also in charge of Well Off Forever, a platform that produce social media content with top quality.

Deion Sanders Jr. mocks Travis Hunter for beating him

Deion Sanders Jr. posted a couple of stories on his Instagram page where he told his 605,000 followers that he’d just beat Travis Hunter twice in tennis, claiming that the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver/cornerback was really bad at that sport.

“I just beat Travis in tennis twice,” Deion Sanders Jr. said. “I whooped him twice… And I whooped them in tennis twice. Yeah. So, bro is really a*s, bro,” the social media influencer said.

Both spent time with Deion Sanders, head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, in Canton, Texas. Sanders has been away from the Colorado campus for nearly two months while recovering from an undisclosed medical issue. The speculation is that the Pro Football Hall of Famer is once again dealing with blood clots, which led to physicians amputating two toes in 2022.

The Buffs could struggle next season

The Colorado Buffaloes could have more trouble than expected under Deion Sanders‘ third season with the team, as they’re tipped to land at just 10th place in the Big 12 Conference in the 2025/26 NCAA season, according to ESPN’s latest projections.

The numbers based on their Football Power Index (FPI) predict that Colorado could go 6.5-5.5 this fall, marking a stark drop from their breakthrough campaign last year that saw them finish an impressive 9-3.

The numbers place the Buffaloes as a fringe bowl team, a notable decline for a program that just made an appearance in the Alamo Bowl and looked poised to build on that momentum despite losing the Heisman Trophy-winning Travis Hunter.
