Ice Spice is the definition of new Hip-Hop coming out of New York City, the birthplace of one of the biggest music movements in recent history.
Since she first caught the nation’s attention three summers ago, she’s been nothing short of a rap sensation.
From viral hits like her breakout “Munch (Feelin’ U),” to co-signs from Drake and Cardi B, to a Best New Artist nomination at the 2024 Grammys, the Bronx native continues to build on her momentum, including a debut album to her feats, “Y2K!”.
Dana White blasts Ice Spice and Sauce Gardner
There’s been rumors about a possible friendship/relationship between Ice Spice and New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner. The former Cincinnati Bearcats standout recently uploaded photos on Instagram where it showed his matte grey Rolls Royce in New York City, and in one of them we can see Ice Spice reaching for the passenger-side door of the car.
And the two celebrities popped out for streamer Adin Ross’ boxing event. On a video circulating online we can heard the commentators announcing the singer/rapper, with the NFL player sitting next to her. Then something awkward happened. The two of them were put on the kiss cam, but they acted uncomfortable.
Ice Spice laughed it off and looked the other way while Gardner shook his head as Adin and Dana White blasted them. One of the commentators asked if they were dating and Dana took the opportunity to give his raw opinion on the matter. “That’s her boyfriend? They are acting like they don’t f****** know each other! Like they are devastated! What the f***!” the UFC CEO said.
Social media users react to the weird moment
Social media users had a saying about the video and the comments Dana White made. “Why do people want to see them kiss? IT wasn’t long ago that couples showed little no to intimacy at all in public. Good for them not allowing their values to be swayed,” posted an X user.
“This is what happens when both people agents call each other up. ‘I got this idea. What if we get Sauce and Spice to date for a while, but just for fakesy to increase notoriety. They can break up in like a few weeks. No, it will be cool. They can go to a few games together, maybe get spotted out to dinner a few times. This will be awesome.” another person wrote.
Mostly, the internet felt bad that the young people were put on the spot and some believe that is nothing more of a publicity stunt. Some even criticize Dana White for acting “like he’s a Cupid with a UFC contract. Let people vibe how they want, no forced chemistry needed!”
