Dak Prescott receives a threat from the Cowboys’ biggest weakness that will enrage fans

The Dallas Cowboys are counting on the best version of Dak Prescott, and there’s little concern about the wide receiver corps with a superstar like CeeDee Lamb, who continued to perform at an elite level despite not always having his starting quarterback.

However, there is one group that’s causing significant worry, well-identified by NFL analysts, which could either doom the season to failure or elevate it to success if improvements are made.

The Dallas Cowboys’ biggest weakness

In a recent ESPN ranking, the running back position was pinpointed as a weakness for the Dallas Cowboys. No one can deny, especially recently, that a strong ground game brings you closer to victory-just look at what the Philadelphia Eagles achieved with Saquon Barkley.

“Biggest weakness: Running back. This wasn’t a tough choice for a team that hasn’t prioritized the position recently. Out is Rico Dowdle, and in are Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, and Day 3 rookie Jaydon Blue. Williams has the highest ceiling, but the 25-year-old has struggled badly with efficiency since tearing his ACL in 2022. Sanders was a nonfactor during two seasons in Carolina, though he showed some juice with 116 total yards and two touchdowns in Week 18 last season,” Mike Clay of ESPN noted.

The running back position has been a major issue for Dallas in recent years, despite players like Tony Pollard and Rico Dowdle surpassing 1,000 yards. Neither player remains with the organization, and now the team must find solutions with the pieces they have available.
