Dak Prescott rallies the Dallas Cowboys locker room amid immense pressure

Between late November and early December, the Dallas Cowboys face a demanding stretch against the Philadelphia Eagles (Week 12), Kansas City Chiefs (Week 13), and Detroit Lions (Week 14), all playoff-caliber opponents. Dak Prescott, however, doesn’t appear worried.

“The sky is the limit,” Prescott said, expressing full confidence in his group’s ability to continue firing on all cylinders. “I don’t see why not… that’s definitely our standard and something that we talk about as a group. It’s not necessarily putting pressure on us, but it’s just the way that we work and the players that we have.”

Prescott’s precision fueling Dallas’ rise

Prescott‘s 2025 season has been one of efficiency and control. Through seven games, he’s completed 185 of 259 passes, a 71.4 percent completion rate, for 1,881 yards and 16 touchdowns, with only three interceptions.

He’s also added 56 rushing yards and a score on the ground, keeping defenses honest with his mobility.

That consistency has carried the Cowboys through uneven performances early in the year, and much of it has been aided by his top playmakers. CeeDee Lamb‘s return to form has been critical. In Week 7, he ripped off a 74-yard touchdown against Washington to help Dallas take control.

“There’s some meat on the bone that we left out there. I feel like we can get better,” Lamb said after the victory, signaling that the offense still has room to grow.

Meanwhile, George Pickens has emerged as a difference-maker in the passing attack. The wideout has caught 36 passes for 607 yards and six touchdowns across seven games, averaging 86.7 yards per contest.

Pressure mounts as Cowboys seek postseason breakthrough

For Prescott, the upcoming stretch carries more weight than just a few regular-season games. Last year, he suffered a hamstring injury midway through the season, and the Cowboys eventually missed the playoffs.

It’s been 30 years since the franchise last appeared in an NFC Championship Game, and the quarterback knows the team’s window won’t stay open forever.

Dallas has been nearly unstoppable at AT&T Stadium, where they’ve scored 40 or more points in each of their three home games this year. Away from home, however, the results have been mixed – losing three of four road matchups and failing to reach the 40-point mark once.
