Dak Prescott has spoken and warned George Pickens, the new wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys – the goal is clear

The spotlight is always on the Dallas Cowboys, and now more than ever after a disappointing season in which they missed the playoffs, while two of their biggest rivals – the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders – faced off in the NFC Championship Game, where Philly emerged victorious and later won the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the recent Draft, the Cowboys and Jerry Jones didn’t go overboard and instead addressed a significant issue following the retirement of future Hall of Fame offensive guard Zack Martin. They used their first-round pick to select lineman Tyler Booker from the University of Alabama, who is expected to become an immediate starter.

The Cowboys have a lot of work ahead because the competition in the NFC East will be tough, with the aforementioned Eagles and Commanders. That’s why they made a strong move by trading for George Pickens to line up alongside CeeDee Lamb.

Dak Prescott commented on George Pickens’ arrival

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is pleased with the gift Jerry Jones gave him by acquiring Pickens, who is known for his ability to fight for tough catches. On The Invasion on 96.7 The Ticket in Dallas, Prescott shared his thoughts:

“We’ve connected. I’m excited,” Prescott said, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. “You put on the tape and see a guy who can catch the ball. You can throw the ball anywhere in his zone and he’s got really strong hands. He’s more than a 50-50 ball receiver. He believes the ball is his when it’s in the air. I’m excited about him. I knew we needed help at that position. It’s hard to double-team two players… I think we’re building a solid group of weapons.”

George Pickens has been controversial due to his behavior, which may have led to his departure from the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the reality is that he has shown flashes of great talent over his three seasons in the league, recording 2,841 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career.

The Dallas Cowboys’ offense is gradually changing its face heading into 2025, but even so, it will be challenging to compete with the Commanders and especially with the reigning champions, the Eagles.
