Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys called the NFL’s “most feared” team, and the message was harsh for the Eagles

There’s no doubt that, at this moment, the Cowboys are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. When it seemed the season was lost, they are now fighting for the playoffs, and with the current struggles of the Philadelphia Eagles, they’re even competing for the NFC East title. It looks difficult, but they’re right there.

The Cowboys have won three consecutive games: first against the Las Vegas Raiders, then against the last two Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, with a spectacular comeback, and on Thanksgiving against the Kansas City Chiefs, in a game where the offense delivered-especially CeeDee Lamb, who shined with a touchdown and surpassed 100 yards.

The Cowboys’ season is more alive than ever, and every game has become a survival test for Jerry Jones’ team. For example, next Thursday they face the Detroit Lions, a direct rival in the playoff race, where they cannot afford to lose.

The Dallas Cowboys, the NFL’s most feared team

Today, all eyes are on the Cowboys, not just because of their winning streak, but also due to the great form of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens-who has emerged as this season’s breakout player-and a defense that is gradually improving. The Cowboys’ goal is clear: the playoffs, and with this level of play, they’re on the right path.

Former NFL cornerback Bryant McFadden, a two-time Super Bowl champion, believes in the Cowboys. The CBS Sports analyst was direct about Dak Prescott’s team: “When you look at the three teams currently in contention, if I had to rank them, I’d start with the Cowboys as possibly the most feared team, due to their progress on the defensive side, which had been their Achilles’ heel in the first two months of the season.”

McFadden also highlighted the credibility the Cowboys are gaining after defeating contenders like the Chiefs and Eagles: “When you look at what they’ve done in the last two weeks-beating Philly, beating Kansas City-doing it when your quarterback outperforms Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks, and when your head coach outperforms Super Bowl-winning coaches in terms of adjustments.”

The path remains tough, as the NFC is highly competitive. The Cowboys, with a 6-5-1 record, must keep winning and hope for stumbles from other teams. A crucial game will be against the Detroit Lions next Thursday. And if they don’t make it this season, there’s no doubt the Cowboys will be serious contenders in 2026.
