The Oklahoma City Thunder were crowned kings of the NBA’s Western Conference by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers, the Spurs survived a day without Victor Wembanyama and Cade Cunningham returned to the court to impose his law in Detroit.

With a 128-110 victory, the Thunder secured the top seed in the West for the playoffs with a standout performance from Chet Holmgren, who contributed 30 points (10 of 13 shooting and 14 rebounds).

Canadian star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also contributed 20 points to a duel in which Kawhi Leonard also stood out for the Los Angeles team (20 points, 8 of 18 shooting).

For their part, the San Antonio Spurs survived without their great star, Frenchman Victor Wembanyama, in a duel against the Blazers (112-101) in which D’Aaron Fox took the reins of the Texan team (20 points) and Deni Avdija contributed 29 points to Portland.

Cade Cunningham returned to the court

American Cade Cunningham returned to the court on Wednesday after overcoming his injury and led the Detroit Pistons’ offense with a 13-point, 10-assist performance.

The Pistons defeated the Charlotte Hornets by a final score of 137-111 in a closely contested game until the final seconds.

The Minnesota Timberwolves fell at home to an unstoppable Orlando Magic (132-120), who were fine from the free throw line with 85.7% shooting, on a night when the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Atlanta Hawks by a narrow 122-116, in a duel with a ‘playoff’ flavor.

Another triple-double for Jokic, who now has 89 in his career

The Nuggets comfortably beat the Memphis Grizzlies 136-119. The Colorado team set the pace with their stars, Nikola Jokic (triple-double with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists) and Jamal Murray (26 points, 8 of 14 shooting), who took the lead in the first quarter, signing a 60% shooting performance.

And the Phoenix Suns took off with a spectacular Devin Booker, who shone in the game with 37 points (13 of 27 shooting) and a final score of 112-107.

For the Mavericks, Cooper Flagg recorded 11 points in 32 minutes of play, although his efforts were insufficient to prevent defeat against the offensive push of the Arizona team.
