Cristiano Ronaldo makes a career change and debuts as a film producer

Cristiano Ronaldo is venturing into the world of cinema with ‘UR-Marv’, an independent studio he co-founded with director Matthew Vaughn. This new business venture marks a milestone for the Portuguese footballer, who expressed in an interview: “It’s an exciting chapter for me as I look for new business opportunities.” The studio has a vision to merge innovative technology with a traditional base, an attempt to transform the film industry.

The agreement between the two has already borne fruit, with the production of two action films jointly financed through ‘UR-Marv’. They are currently working on the third installment in the series, and details of the first film are expected to be revealed soon. Matthew Vaughn, known for his hits such as “Kick-Ass” and “Kingsman”, was enthusiastic about the collaboration: “Cristiano has created stories on the field that I could never have imagined. Together, we plan to inspire audiences.”

In addition to his foray into film, Ronaldo continues to expand his influence beyond football. Following his investment in Portuguese media conglomerate Medialivre and the launch of his YouTube channel “UR Cristiano” in 2024, the footballer is looking to consolidate his brand in new areas of entertainment, ensuring his legacy and growth beyond the football pitch.
