Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. is ready to shine at the international level, as the 14 years old striker shined with Portugal U15 at an official competition.

The California native recently made his debut for the nation his father was born in – the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo -, participating in the Vlatko Markovic international tournament being held in Croatia.

The young soccer player could represent up to five countries if given the chance in the future as a footballer (Portugal, Spain, England, Cape Verde, and the United States). But it looks like he’s going to try to make a name for himself with the Portuguese squad.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. performs a perfect Siuuu celebration

After receiving his maiden call-up for Portugal last week, Ronaldo Jr. didn’t start for his team until the final game of the tournament. Wearing the No. 7 on his back – the same number as his legendary father -, the teenager showed some flashness of greatness as he scored a beautiful goal in the 13th minute.

Cristiano’s oldest son took the opportunity to celebrate like his dad, too, as he performed a great “Siuuu” that got fans and teammates excited and hunger for more. And he was far from done, as he scored again in the 43rd minute, after heading home a precise cross from the right wing.

The goals got mixed reviews in social media, with some fans saying that the moves were not impressive. “Two easiest tap ins. Doing just like his father, I’m not moved,” posted an X user. “The last match a kid scored a hat-trick and we didn’t hear about him,” said another one.”If the boy was not Ronaldo’s son, would you be posting about him?” wrote someone else.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr’s journey to greatness

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., a 14-year-old young promise, began his career in youth academies at Juventus (Italy) and Manchester United (England), and then moved to Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) when his father signed with the club, in December 2022.

He’s shown promise, including 58 goals in a season for Juventus youth team, which is one of the reasons why a lot of clubs and international teams have shown interest for the teenager. He will need to develop his game if he wants to make a name for himself at the club level.

He has the best example at home: his father’s accolades include five Ballon d’Or awards, five Champions League titles, and being the all-time leading goalscorer in men’s international football. That and the fact that he lead the Portugal men’s team to win the Euro 2016.
