Cowboys’ triplets don’t scare anyone for next season; Dak Prescott and company will suffer in 2025

Everything the Dallas Cowboys do, whether good or bad, gets magnified – and that will always be the case for a team of such magnitude, simply the most famous team in the NFL. Despite this, Jerry Jones’ team hasn’t won the Super Bowl since 1996, when they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the team has not lost its media power, and it never will.

For the 2025 season, everything looks very complicated for the Dallas Cowboys. Right now, they are the third team in the NFC East, with the big favorites clearly being the Philadelphia Eagles, current champions, and the Washington Commanders, who took a big step forward in the NFL with Jayden Daniels.

To make matters worse, the Dallas Cowboys are on the verge of making a mistake: they haven’t renewed their best player, defensive star Micah Parsons, who has requested a trade to a team that will pay him what he deserves. This could definitely cause a rift between the fans and Jerry Jones.

Cowboys’ triplets have raised doubts

During the Cowboys’ last great era in the 1990s, they relied on their offensive “triplets,” who were absolutely dominant. Quarterback Troy Aikman, running back Emmitt Smith, and wide receiver Michael Irvin were enough to compete with any team in the NFL.

The Cowboys have had other dangerous trios since then, but currently, they raise many doubts. The present trio is made up of quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and running back Javonte Williams. According to Jacob Infante of Pro Football Network, Dallas’ trio is not in the league’s top ten.

“If the Dallas Cowboys even had an average starter at running back, they’d be fighting for a spot in the top five of this list. Unfortunately for them, Javonte Williams is coming off a season with just 3.7 yards per carry and 513 rushing yards as Denver’s lead back. Other than that, the Cowboys do have a dynamic passing duo to work with,” Infante said.

The problem in this trio is the running back position, because CeeDee Lamb is one of the best receivers in the league and Dak Prescott has had good stretches – plus, he is the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.
