Could the Dallas Cowboys make a statement ahead of the 2025/26 NFL season by poaching Tee Higgins from the Cincinnati Bengals on a $100m deal, to form a mouth-watering receiver partnership with Ceedee Lamb?
The 25-year-old produced three touchdowns in a Week 17 victory over the Denver Broncos to keep his Ohio-based side in the hunt of a playoffs spot, which seemed like it had miniscule odds following their 4-8 record through 12 games.
Now it’s suggested that Jerry Jones could make a move for the star offensive player to back-up their ace quarterback, Dak Prescott, after a challenging season for Mike McCarthy‘s NFC East side.
Higgins’ impressive showing in the 30-24 victory on December 28 improved his numbers for the campaign to 858 yards and 10 touchdowns from 69 receptions as the clear second option behind Ja’Marr Chase.

And importantly, the $100m that Dallas have available could not create any conflicts with the deals award to Lamb and Prescott. Nor will it impeded in the offer to their linebacker, Micah Parsons, who will likely be handed a contract to remain at the AT&T Stadium for the future.
So the 82-year-old Jones is free to throw some more cash at his franchise in their pursuit of a first Super Bowl championship since 1994, when they defeated the Buffalo Bills 30-13 in Atlanta.
Could the Cowboys out-bid the Bengals?
The Bengals, of course, will be eager to retain Higgins’ services considering the connection he has with Joe Burrow and how he has demonstrated himself to be a very capable weapon alongside Chase.
But they will face a tall order. With a cap space of just $59.1 million dollars, Dallas can comfortably offer more money to the 2018 NCAA national champion to bring him to the Lone Star State.
Higgins is expected to be looking for a contract of around $94m across five years, well beyond what the Bengals can offer compared to their NFC counterparts.
