The Dallas Cowboys had a tough start to the new NFL campaign as they faced the reigning champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. However, they got back on track by getting back to winning ways against the New York Giants in Week 2. All kinds of factors came to the fore in Dallas and one person who noticed was team legend Troy Aikman, who did not hesitate to make a comment about Dak Prescott

Since his arrival to Jerry Jones’ franchise in 2016, the quarterback has earned a good number of skeptics. The lack of big wins in the postseason and a tremendous Super Bowl drought, has caused fans to beg for a change (on some occasions). However, the team’s management trusts what Prescott can do.

“I’ve been impressed” – Troy Aikman on Dak Prescott

Although the Cowboys suffered a Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and barely managed an overtime win in Week 2 against the New York Giants, Prescott’s performances have many once again singing his praises, including Cowboys legend Troy Aikman.

Aikman, who is the last quarterback to win a Super Bowl with Dallas, praised Prescott after he led the team to a 40-37 victory on Sunday. “I’ve been impressed with Dak, especially in Week 1 and what he did, and then in this last game. He’s always had good energy. He’s always had good body language and all that on the field,” Aikman said Thursday

Dallas fulfilled the result they had in mind to a certain extent in the preview. They lost in the kickoff against the Eagles and beat the Giants last weekend. But the way they did it seems to alert Brian Schottenmheimer’s team. They could well be 0-2, but having faced the worst team in their division allowed them to get to .500.

In Chicago, they have fallen well short of expectations. Just when it was expected that Caleb Williams would take much more of a leading role in his second year as a professional and under the tutelage of Ben Johnson, the outlook for the Bears has not changed much. A 0-2 record has them on the verge of another disappointing year in one of the toughest divisions.
