Cowboys’ Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons prank teammates with unexpected welcome

The Dallas Cowboys kicked off their offseason program in the most unexpected way: with laughter, live worms, and gummy surprises. As players arrived at The Star in Frisco for the first day of voluntary workouts, they were met not just by cameras, but also by a rather squirmy gift.

In a prank orchestrated by the Cowboys‘ social media team, players had to reach into what looked like a box of treats, only to find… actual worms. While some handled it like seasoned pros, others had far more dramatic reactions.

Prescott and Parsons lead the laughs

Quarterback Dak Prescott set the tone early by playfully dodging the prank and handing it off to the next unsuspecting victim. Linebacker Micah Parsons, never one to hide his emotions, let out a colorful reaction that had teammates roaring with laughter. Their playful energy instantly set the mood for a lighthearted, yet focused return to work.

The moment was captured and shared online, quickly going viral and giving fans a refreshing look at the team’s chemistry and sense of humor.

Country boys and gummy worms

Not everyone was put off by the wriggly surprise. Wide receiver Jalen Tolbert proudly claimed his country roots and didn’t flinch. Punter Bryan Anger went a step further, saying he was excited to add the worms to his fishing bait. And in a move of redemption, players were later offered gummy worms as a sweeter, safer treat.

The light prank served as an icebreaker, easing the players back into the facility while reinforcing the team’s camaraderie heading into a crucial season.

Micah shows up amid contract talks

Perhaps the biggest storyline of the day was Parsons‘ presence. Despite being in the middle of contract extension discussions, the star linebacker made it clear he’s all in. Fans had feared a potential holdout, similar to last year’s CeeDee Lamb situation, but Micah’s attendance silenced any doubts.

Prescott returns post-surgery

Dak Prescott is also making a return after offseason hamstring surgery. Though still on the mend, he’s already back with the team, involved in light activities and signaling his commitment to leadership as the Cowboys reset after a disappointing 2024 campaign.

As the team regroups, the message is clear: the Cowboys are serious about winning, but they’re not above having a little fun along the way.
