The Dallas Cowboys will honor and say goodbye to the great Zack Martin this week in an official retirement press conference on Wednesday inside The Star. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT) at the team’s headquarters.
Martin, 34, is one of the most decorated offensive linemen in NFL history, having spent his entire 11-year career playing for the Cowboys, where he was a nine-time Pro Bowler and seven-time All-Pro Guard.
Martin will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2030.

It’s a move that is not surprising, but will nevertheless send more shockwaves through the Cowboys’ locker room as they strive to replace a legend.
An entrenched stalwart at the right guard position, Martin in 2024 suffered the first season-ending injury of his 11-year career, undergoing ankle surgery after Week 14 in November.
“This is not the time to have those conversations,” Martin said at the time. “This is all I’ll say about it: it’s a tough situation and the most important thing on my mind is to get better and then have those conversations in the future. But first and foremost, I want to get better and maybe those conversations will be a little bit easier.”
Martin was a first-round pick in 2014… and all this time later? The conversation has happened. But that doesn’t make any of it “easy.”
