The shift in identity is paying off. Merchandise sales for the Commanders jumped by 163%, a clear sign that the franchise’s new image is gaining traction. The D.C. Council postponed a critical vote on the project due to concerns over the financial aspects of housing and retail developments tied to the stadium.
