Clemson star will once again dash Justin Fields’ NFL dreams

The New York Jets made a bold move this offseason when they fired iconic quarterback Aaron Rodgers and immediately signed Justin Fields as his replacement.

At first, everything seemed ideal for Fields: a two-year, $40 million contract, the support of the new head coach, Aaron Glenn, and the opportunity to lead a rebuilding team with a young, talented roster.

Fields has the talent to lead the team in pursuit of the Super Bowl. At just 26 years old, Justin has an exciting future ahead of him. If the Jets put their trust in him, he could reach his full potential in his first or second year with the team.

However, experts are not confident in Fields, which has begun to raise doubts among New York Jets fans. Many believe his time with the franchise will be very short.

Cade Klubnik of Clemson is ready to “erase” Fields from the Jets

NFL Spinzone analyst Lou Scataglia predicted that the Jets would secure a top-five pick in the 2026 draft and select Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik to replace Fields.

“It would be crazy to have four consecutive quarterbacks at the start of the 2026 NFL Draft, but Justin Fields is not a franchise quarterback and will be replaced at some point. The Jets’ pick is Cade Klubnik from Clemson,” Lou commented.

Many are concerned about this simulation because it suggests that the Jets would not fare well with Fields. If this were to happen, a new quarterback would clearly be an option to improve the team. Klubnik is talented, but he hasn’t proven himself to be a top-five prospect, so drafting him that high could be risky.

In this scenario, the Jets would select the fourth quarterback, which may not be the best move and could jeopardize the future of the franchise. New York has the future in its hands, and everything depends on them. Fields, for his part, has the pressure to make a difference from day one of the new season.
