The most anticipated game of the WNBA season, the All-Star Game, will be held in Indianapolis, where Caitlin Clarkand Napheesa Collier will lead their teams in pursuit of victory. This matchup represents a prime opportunity to showcase elite talent and watch the league’s brightest stars compete in a thrilling, high-energy game.

Final preparations are nearly complete for one of the WNBA’s biggest events: the All-Star Game on July 19 in Indianapolis. Home star Caitlin Clark will captain one team, facing off against Napheesa Collier, the leader of the other team. Both leaders now know their rosters for the showdown at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Teams set for the WNBA All-Star game

The match is expected to be a full showcase of talent, with both teams eager to prove why they represent the best of the WNBA. Fans can expect high-level competition, highlight plays, and plenty of star power on display.

As expected, Clark has selected her Indiana Fever teammates, including center Aliyah Boston and guard Kelsey Mitchell. For the other three spots on her lineup, the young superstar chose New York Liberty guard Sabrina lonescu as her third pick. She also selected A’ja Wilson from the Las Vegas Aces and Satou Sabally from the Phoenix Mercury.

Caitlin Clark was happy for the team she made, with great players, and she always showed faithful to them, without any intention of changing. “To be completely honest, I love my team. I think they’re great. I don’t have any intentions of really trading any of them,” Clark said.

Meanwhile, Napheesa Collier first picked her former UConn teammate, Breanna Stewart, who plays forward for the New York Liberty. Allisha Gray from the Atlanta Dream, Nneka Ogwumike from the Seattle Storm and Dallas Wings, and Paige Bueckers.

Meet the Coaches for the WNBA All-Star Game

Everything was set for 58-year-old coach Cheryl Reeve to lead Caitlin Clark’s team, while Sandy Brondello was expected to coach Napheesa Collier’s squad. However, Clark announced her intention to switch coaches for the game, Reeve will now coach Collier’s team, while Brondello will join Clark’s bench.

“I don’t know if this is in the rules. I don’t really care. But I think we’ve already discussed that we are going to trade coaches. She’s going to take her coach,” Clark admitted and added that, “Sorry, WNBA, if that’s not in the rules. Sorry, ESPN, if that’s not in the rules. But we just made it a rule.” Said the Indiana Fever star.

Even Collier weighed in, expressing her appreciation for having her Minnesota Lynx coach, Cheryl Reeve, on her All-Star team: “I agree with the trade. I love Cheryl. She’s my coach here. And you know what? That’s just going to be worse for Team Clark, because now we’ve got more chemistry on our side.
