Chris Jones forgets Super Bowl as he sees his most embarrassing moment running with his member out

Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has achieved significant milestones in his NFL career, including multiple Pro Bowl selections and Super Bowl victories. However, one moment from his past continues to stand out as particularly unforgettable: his wardrobe malfunction during the 2016 NFL Combine.

In 2016, as a standout from Mississippi State University, Jones participated in the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. During the 40-yard dash, approximately 15 yards into his run, Jones experienced an unexpected wardrobe malfunction.

He recounted the incident on the “New Heights” podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, stating, “I was running, I was looking at the 40 and all of a sudden, I feel it. I feel it touching my leg and I’m like, ‘Oh, s—.’ I tried to cuff it and take the dive you know what I mean because I know little kids are watching.”

Jones’ choice of attire contributed to the mishap. Aiming to differentiate himself, he opted for shorter tights, not realizing they were essentially boxers. Reflecting on this decision, he mentioned, “I was so big on being different from everyone. Everybody was wearing the long tights. I was like, you know what, I’m not going out there and copying everybody. I’ma wear the short tights. I didn’t realize they was boxers, bro.”

Despite the incident, Jones completed the dash in 5.03 seconds, ranking fifth among defensive linemen. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him as the 37th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

This experience, while embarrassing, has become a lighthearted topic in Jones‘ career. His ability to laugh about it showcases his resilience and sense of humor, qualities that have undoubtedly contributed to his success on and off the field.
