This spring, however, Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach found himself facing a question far removed from football: whether he had received an invitation to the highly anticipated wedding of Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and global pop superstar Taylor Swift.
During a media session, ESPN’s Peter Schrager shifted the conversation away from traditional draft talk, posing the delicate question. Veach‘s reaction made it clear he was uncomfortable.

Veach opens up more about Kelce’s future
While Veach was guarded about celebrity matters, he was much more candid when discussing Kelce‘s future with the Chiefs. After a challenging season, there had been speculation about whether the 36-year-old might retire.
Veach revealed that Kelce had made his intentions clear to both him and head coach Andy Reid, expressing a strong desire to continue his career rather than stepping away.
“Travis basically said, ‘I’m not going out like this,'” Veach recalled. The tight end kept in touch throughout the offseason, reinforcing his commitment to the team and making it clear that he was not ready to end his playing days after a disappointing season.
