The Chicago Sky entered the 2025 WNBA Draft with a clear goal: retool a competitive roster with young, dynamic talent capable of contributing immediately. After a season marked by inconsistency, the franchise used its five picks across the three rounds to inject versatility, international experience, and scoring punch into its lineup.

From promising overseas prospects to battle-tested NCAA stars, the Sky’s selections signal a strategic shift toward building for both the present and future.

2025 Chicago Sky Draft Picks

1st Round, Pick 10 overall: Aja Sivka (Slovenia)

A standout forward from Slovenia, Aja Sivka is one of the most intriguing international prospects in this year’s class. At 6’2″, she brings a rare combination of size, shooting touch, and basketball IQ. Known for her ability to stretch the floor and create mismatches, Sivka adds depth and creativity to Chicago’s frontcourt.

1st Round, Pick 11: Hailey Van Lith (TCU)

Few names in women’s college basketball have drawn more attention than Hailey Van Lith, and she’ll now bring her fiery competitiveness to Chicago. A fearless scorer and natural leader, Van Lith gives the Sky a dynamic backcourt partner to pair with Marina Mabrey. Expect her to make an immediate impact, especially in crunch-time situations.

2nd Round, Pick 4: Maddy Westbeld (Notre Dame)

Versatile and consistent, Maddy Westbeld arrives from Notre Dame with a reputation for doing all the little things right. She can stretch the floor, rebound, and defend multiple positions. Her high basketball IQ and unselfish play style could make her a perfect fit in the Sky’s rotation.

2nd Round, Pick 10: Aicha Coulibaly (Texas A&M)

A physical wing who excels in transition, Aicha Coulibaly brings athleticism and defensive grit to the Sky’s second unit. Her ability to guard both guards and forwards will be a valuable asset off the bench. If she develops a more consistent perimeter shot, she could become a steal in the second round.

A Reconstructed Roster

After losing key veterans in recent seasons, the Sky’s front office focused on adding players who can grow together and contribute on both ends of the floor. With a blend of NCAA experience and international flair, the 2025 draft class reflects a team looking to redefine its identity.

With Van Lith’s scoring, Sivka’s upside, and Griffin’s grit, fans in Chicago have plenty of reasons to be excited.

The upcoming training camp will be crucial for integrating these rookies into the Sky’s system. If the pieces fall into place, Chicago could emerge as one of the league’s most improved teams – and potentially a playoff sleeper.
