Checo Perez will test a Ferrari loaned to Cadillac

Cadillac F1 will take its first step out of the simulator next week with Sergio “Checo” Perez at the wheel. According to Motorsport Italy, the Mexican will drive a Ferrari SF-23 at Silverstone that the American brand is said to have obtained through an agreement with Maranello, as it advances its entry as Formula 1’s 11th team in 2026.

On Wednesday, Perez attended the Los Angeles Dodgers’ opening pitch and revealed that he will first travel to Charlotte to work on the simulator and then to England to get into an F1 car. “I must start the preparation to be ready at the beginning of next year; the neck lost tonicity and I need to regain strength to drive an F1 well,” he said.
