Charlie Woods responds half-heartedly to Tiger Woods’ demand as Kai Trump goes down in flames

Charlie Woods, son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, and Kai Trump, granddaughter of U.S. President Donald J. Trump, recently concluded their participation in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, one of the most prestigious events in junior golf.

Held in South Carolina, the tournament featured top young golfers from around the globe, making for a highly competitive field.

Woods, playing for Benjamin School, put on a strong performance throughout the tournament but struggled during the final round. He shot a 75, which left him at 11-over for the tournament.

Although he played well during the first nine holes, shooting 2-under, the back nine proved more challenging, with four bogeys and a double bogey dragging down his score.

Despite these difficulties, Woods demonstrated resilience, finishing tied for 25th out of 36 golfers. His previous rounds were 78, 73, and 73, proving his consistency despite the challenging conditions.

Woods, currently a sophomore, was part of the Benjamin boys golf state championship team in 2023 and has shown remarkable growth, earning a No. 11 boys’ golf ranking in Florida, according to iWanamaker.

Kai Trump’s Struggles at Sage Valley

Meanwhile, Kai Trump faced an uphill battle throughout the competition. The young golfer’s final round was marked by struggles, finishing with a disappointing 89, which put her at 52-over for the tournament.

Her earlier rounds of 89, 79, 83, and 89 placed her in last position among the 24-golfer field.

Despite her disappointing performance, Trump remains optimistic about her future in golf. An All-County selection for Benjamin School last fall, she wrapped up her junior campaign as the No. 151-ranked girls’ golfer in Florida.

With a commitment to play collegiate golf at the University of Miami, she continues to work on her game and gain valuable experience from high-level competitions.

The Junior Invitational at Sage Valley has earned a reputation as a prime event for the sport’s rising stars since its inception in 2011.

The tournament began allowing female golfers to compete in 2022, making it an even more inclusive showcase for young talent. Past champions include established professional golfers like Scottie Scheffler, Akshay Bhatia, and Joaquín Niemann.

While Charlie Woods managed to handle the pressure better than Kai Trump, both golfers remain promising talents.

Woods will continue to build on his momentum heading into the rest of the season, while Trump focuses on refining her skills ahead of her collegiate career.
