For the second year in a row, Carlos Alcaraz is the highest-paid tennis player in the world, staying at the top of the list with estimated earnings of $48.3 million in the last 12 months compared to the $42.3 million he recorded the previous year, according to Forbes magazine

Alcaraz is by far the biggest off-court earner, with estimated earnings of $35 million in advertising contracts. Carlitos’ smile, coupled with his success, is the biggest draw in the world today

That’s why all the brands are fighting to have him as an ambassador. In the pyramid in which his agent Albert Molina works, only an insurance company and a telecommunications company are missing. Not forgetting the new market that is artificial intelligence.

Danone, through Evian water, joined Nike (sportswear and footwear), Babolat (rackets), Itau (bank), Isdin (parapharmacy products for facial care and photoprotection), Rolex (watches), El Pozo (food), Louis Vuitton (clothing) and BMW (cars), among the multinationals that have backed the young man from El Palmar.

The good sporting results increase Alcaraz’s rating, who has reached the final in the last seven tournaments he has played and who hopes to leave the US Open with the number one ranking under his belt

He is the leader in the bonus that the ATP distributes at the end of the season among those who have scored the most points in Masters 1000 and ATP Finals. He has 3,410 points, compared to Jannik Sinner’s 1,960.

Sinner’s growth

Sinner has amassed $47.3 million in the past year, since the 2024 US Open, a significant increase from the $26.6 million he earned the previous year.

American Coco Gauff appears third on the list of highest-paid racket professionals. The brand new Roland Garros champion has $25 million in contracts and has won another $12.2 million in prize money

Three 20-somethings at the top

The earnings ranking is topped by three players under the age of 30 for the first time since a young Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal led the list in 2010Federer remained the highest-paid player until he retired in 2022 at the age of 41. Novak Djokovic briefly held the throne in 2023 before handing it over to Alcaraz, who is only 22 years old

These days, on the streets of New York, you can see giant promotional posters of Alcaraz wearing a sleeveless outfit from the US multinational Nike for the US Open
