The so-called Big Two of the racket, formed by Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, has gradually been transformed into a Big One during this season. In just two months of competition, Alcaraz has taken a significant lead over his great rival. The consistency and confidence that used to characterize the Italian is now reflected in the Spaniard, who on Friday defeated Andrey Rublev in the semifinals of the Qatar Open 7-6(3), 6-4 in a match that lasted two hours and two minutes.

The statistics speak for themselves: the Spaniard has been present in 12 finals of the last 13 tournaments he has played. The only exception was his defeat in the second round of the Paris Masters against Cameron Norrie.
