Carlos Alcaraz is carving his path into tennis history, determined to etch his name alongside the sport’s all-time greats. At just 22, he is already building a remarkable legacy, and his latest triumph adds another milestone to his journey. Three years after his first conquest, Alcaraz has once again inscribed his name on the US Open trophy, a testament to his talent, ambition, and unshakable will to dominate.

Reaching such heights is never an easy task, and standing in his way was former world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who entered the tournament as the top-ranked player. Yet Alcaraz rose to the challenge with fearless, relentless tennis, dictating the rhythm of the match and leaving little room for Sinner to impose his game.

The final was proof of that determination, as the 22-year-old Spaniard overpowered Sinner in four sets, showcasing absolute dominance. Alcaraz stepped onto Arthur Ashe Stadium with a clear mission, to capture his sixth Grand Slam title, and he delivered with authority.

Carlos Alcaraz claims sixth Grand Slam title and cements his tennis legacy

Carlos Alcaraz is often compared to Rafael Nadal as Spain’s greatest tennis star, with many calling him the true heir to Nadal’s era. While Rafa’s legacy remains unmatched, Alcaraz is already forging his own path in history. The 22-year-old has surpassed one of Nadal’s milestones, securing his sixth Grand Slam title 118 days earlier than the Spanish legend.

The journey began in 2022, when Carlos Alcaraz captured his first Grand Slam title at the US Open, defeating Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 in a thrilling final. Just a year later, he added a second crown at Wimbledon, where he toppled Novak Djokovic in a five-set classic, 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, marking the start of a new era in world tennis.

Alcaraz’s first Roland Garros triumph came in 2024, when he faced once again Djokovic in his debut final on the Parisian clay. The Spaniard staged a stunning comeback to win 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1 and 6-2. That same year, he successfully defended his Wimbledon crown, in a final classic against Novak Djokovic, this time in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.

Carlos Alcaraz makes 2025 historic with his sixth Grand Slam title

In 2025, Carlos Alcaraz added two more Grand Slam titles to his legacy. On the clay courts of Roland Garros, he once again faced his great rival Jannik Sinner in what turned into an epic battle. The Spaniard triumphed in the longest final in French Open history, winning 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6, and securing one of the most important victories of his career.

Carlos Alcaraz returned to the Arthur Ashe Stadium, the stage of his first major triumph, to once again face Jannik Sinner in the US Open final. With a commanding performance, the Spaniard defeated the Italian 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, capturing his sixth Grand Slam title.

Carlos Alcaraz has written another golden chapter in tennis history, becoming the second-youngest player to reach six Grand Slam titles, just behind Björn Borg. At 22, the Spanish sensation now has his eyes fixed on the 2026 Australian Open, the only Major missing from his collection. Victory in Melbourne would give him a seventh Slam andcomplete the career Grand Slam, a milestone that would cement his legacy among the greatest in the sport.
