Cameron Brink is as versatile as it comes, with the WNBA star causing buzz with her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine issue debut, alongside powerhouses like Olivia Dunne and Salma Hayek.

The Los Angeles Sparks forward and No. 2 pick overall in the 2024 WNBA draft got her stunning pictures taken at Boca Raton, Florida, where she was photographed by Ben Orton.

Brink told Sports Illustrated that she has received some of the best examples of what a person is capable of thanks to her mom Michelle, who has worked on signature shoes for basketball athletes with Nike. “I’m very thankful for those role models, because we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.”

The basketball superstar told Sports Illustrated that she took the opportunity to model for SI Swimsuit because she felt it was”empowering move,” though she acknowledged it can be difficult to put her body out there for the world to see, especially with a popular figure like her.

“I think every female athlete has had a really rough go with body image, but I’m definitely glad I’ve gotten to a really good place and I’m able to do stuff like this with SI Swimsuit. It’s just very empowering, so I hope everyone can get to a point like this,” Cameron said.

Cameron Brink suffered a season ending injury, when she tore her ACL during the 2024 WNBA season. Currently, the forward has resumed full training as she mentioned the fact that she’s back to doing everything pretty normally, which is great news for the Los Angeles Sparks and their 2025 regular season hopes for a winning campaign, as the franchise has make major moves on the last couple of months.

On February, the team acquired three-time WNBA All-Star, two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time WNBA champion Kelsey Plum in a three-team trade with the Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm. The move signifies the start of a new era for the organization, according to the Sparks governor and managing partner Eric Holoman.

The first trade in WNBA history to involve two former first overall draft picks brings Plum back home to Southern California. The former Washington Husky played the first seven seasons of her WNBA career for the Aces organization, earning All-Rookie Team honors with the San Antonio Stars before the franchise relocated to Las Vegas.
