Cameron Brink spills surprising family secrets about Steph Curry’s unique game-day habits

It’s no secret that Cameron Brink has the inside scoop on Steph Curry – and she’s not shy about sharing it. On her podcast Straight to Cam, Brink dropped another fun gem about the NBA legend that had fans buzzing. Known for their close family-like bond (Brink’s godparents are Dell and Sonya Curry, Steph’s parents), their relationship goes beyond just basketball, and it shows every time Brink opens up.

From halftime Twitter scrolls to highlight reels

Despite not being blood relatives, Steph and Cameron share a sibling-type connection – and that trust is what makes her reveals feel like playful family banter rather than gossip. So far, Curry hasn’t objected to any of the “tea” she’s spilled, probably because it just adds to his legend. And this latest reveal was definitely a highlight.

In a recent podcast episode, Brink casually mentioned that when Curry’s feeling bored, he actually watches his own highlights. It appears that the greatest shooter in NBA history sometimes entertains himself by reliving his own jaw-dropping moments. But here’s the twist – it’s not just for fun. It seems like a way to stay mentally sharp and maybe even spark ideas for the next big play.

But it gets even better. Former Warrior and current Suns guard Damion Lee, who’s also part of the extended Curry family, chimed in with a behind-the-scenes locker room story. According to Lee, back in his Warriors days, Steph would sometimes search his own name on Twitter during halftime, scroll for a minute or two, read the good and bad comments – then close the phone and go off in the second half like nothing happened, only adding another level of iconess to the player.

For Steph, criticism isn’t a distraction – it’s fuel

The idea that an NBA icon like Curry uses internet chatter and his own plays as motivation makes him more relatable… and even more unstoppable. While most people might get discouraged by Twitter noise, including Cameron herself, Steph uses it to lock in and turn up. It’s the kind of mindset that separates the good from the legendary.

Whether it’s watching his greatest hits or scanning tweets from critics, Steph Curry’s got his own recipe for staying locked in. And thanks to Cameron Brink’s podcast, fans get a rare peek into what really fuels the fire of one of the greatest to ever do it. One thing’s for sure – boredom never stands a chance with Steph and fans can’t wait to see him as a guest on the podcast for more fun and in-depth secrets to reveal.
