Cameron Brink reacts to viral Caitlin Clark moment, highlights growing WNBA sisterhood

From jaw-dropping game-day performances to viral fashion moments, WNBA stars like Caitlin Clark and Cameron Brink continue to captivate fans both on and off the court. Their friendship, paired with contrasting styles and mutual admiration, paints a bigger picture of camaraderie in the league.

The pregame tunnel has become a style showcase in recent years, often likened to a fashion runway. Players use the opportunity to express individuality-and the internet is watching. On July 13, ahead of the Indiana Fever vs. Dallas Wings game, Caitlin Clark drew attention with her bold, oversized power suit.

In contrast, her longtime friend Paige Bueckers went casual with a relaxed striped sweater and jeans. The moment sparked viral comparisons and commentary across social platforms.

WNBA rookie Cameron Brink weighed in on the buzz during a podcast with Sydel Curry-Lee, saying, “They both stay true to their aesthetics. Caitlin’s usually in her Prada, a little more buttoned-up. Paige wears suits too, but she’s definitely more relaxed.” Brink’s appreciation wasn’t just about the fashion-it reflected a deeper respect for her peers’ authenticity.

Brink has repeatedly shown support for Clark’s rising stardom. When Clark graced the cover of TIME Magazine as Athlete of the Year, Brink shared the image on Instagram with the words “Congrats MODELLLL,” a playful but heartfelt gesture. Clark replied, “Speechless,” showing the mutual admiration between the two.

Off-court support matches on-court talent

Their bond extends far beyond red-carpet moments. When Clark shattered the NCAA all-time scoring record, Brink celebrated the achievement by posting a throwback photo of the two, captioned, “Congrats queen.”

And following a vulnerable Instagram post from Clark reflecting on her rookie season, Brink and fellow Fever player Kate Martin responded with heartfelt support. Brink’s comment, “So proud of you ,” emphasized the emotional strength behind their friendship.

Earlier in the season, Clark declined an invitation to participate in the NBA All-Star 3-point contest-a decision that sparked online debate. Brink defended Clark on her podcast, saying, “She needs a break. I always text her, like, ‘You need a vacation for three months.'” It was a moment of genuine concern that highlighted the mental and physical toll professional athletes endure.

Fans will get to see the pair face off again in upcoming matchups on August 1 and August 12. But regardless of the scoreboard, the respect between Cameron Brink and Caitlin Clark continues to shine-reminding fans that beyond the competition, the WNBA is also about connection, empowerment, and sisterhood.
