Aryna Sabalenka has made headlines once again, but not for her performances on the tennis court. During her victory over American Coco Gauff in the semifinals of the Wuhan Open, the Belarusian tennis player was the center of a disappointing scene that has gone viral on social media.
Fans showed their repulse
At certain point of the match, Sabalenka scolded a ball kid for being slow in handing her the balls. The way she did it was what caused the moment to spread word wide.
Her gestures and the manners in which she returned one of the balls were enough for many people to express their anger with the player’s attitude, reminding everyone that it was just a child on the other side.
“Sabalenka bullying ball kids? What a moron”, “She got booed for it and deservedly so”, “She deserves to lose for that behaviour”, “Very ugly behavior” were some of the comments people left on ‘X’. Some other users even claim she should get a fine for that unfortunate action.
