Caitlin Clark’s three-point streak ends in Fever win over Dream

In a surprising turn during the Indiana Fever‘s 81-76 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, rookie sensation Caitlin Clark saw her remarkable streak of consecutive games with a made three-pointer come to an end.

Clark missed all five of her attempts from beyond the arc, marking the first time in her professional career – and only the second time since her sophomore year at Iowa in 2022 – that she failed to connect from long range.

Despite her off-night from deep, Clark contributed 11 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Veteran forward Natasha Howard led the Fever with 26 points, helping the team improve to a 2-1 record early in the season.

On-court tensions flare

The game was not without its heated moments. Late in the first quarter, Clark and Dream guard Rhyne Howard engaged in a physical exchange after a foul call. The two players exchanged words and minor shoves, with Clark reportedly telling Howard, “I’m not scared of you,” before teammates intervened to de-escalate the situation.

This incident follows a previous altercation between Clark and Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese in the season opener, highlighting the competitive intensity surrounding the rookie guard.

Despite the personal milestone ending, Clark‘s impact on the game and the league remains significant. Her presence continues to draw record crowds, and her performance contributes to the Fever’s early-season success.

The team will look to build on this momentum as they prepare to face the New York Liberty at home on Saturday.
