Caitlin Clark’s taking over the WNBA but Wyatt Kelce might be the future

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Caitlin Clark is fully integrated into the Kelce family. Not only has she been a familiar presence at Travis Kelce’s games and shared a suite with Taylor Swift, but she has now appeared for the second time on New Heights, the Kelce brothers’ podcast. That level of comfort, paired with her decision to send Jason Kelce Christmas gifts, speaks to a genuine friendship that goes well beyond public appearances.

The Kelce brothers are well aware that Clark is one of the best players in the WNBA and that her presence has helped shift how the league is viewed on a global scale. They’re not alone in that assessment. Women’s sports continue to grow at an exponential rate, and Clark has played a significant role in bringing new attention, energy, and credibility to the game.

A household that lives and breathes sports

Beyond her impact on the league, Clark fits naturally into a family that has always revolved around sports. Jason, now retired from the NFL and a father to three daughters, is deeply engaged in introducing his kids to athletics. Alongside his wife Kylie, a former field hockey player, he has encouraged their daughters to explore activities like soccer and gymnastics, while keeping a close eye on role models like Clark, who is preparing to return to the court and once again make the sport her own.

That connection became even more personal during a recent episode when Jason opened a holiday gift from the Indiana Fever star. The present turned out to be a portable pop-shot basketball hoop, which he quickly set up in his garage studio. What followed turned a casual moment into a standout family scene.

Wyatt Kelce, Jason’s eldest daughter, immediately took on the challenge. Dressed in a pink Disney princess outfit, she stepped into the garage and began taking shots as her dad encouraged her to keep trying. After a few misses and some playful coaching, Clark and Travis both noted her effort, highlighting her confidence.

The moment that stole the show

When Wyatt finally sank her shot, the moment quickly became the highlight of the episode. She celebrated by slipping on her dad’s headphones to greet Clark and Travis, turning a simple basket into a memory that resonated far beyond the podcast.

Once Wyatt stepped away, Clark made it clear to Jason that his daughter showed real promise on the court, reinforcing the idea that the Kelce household may already be nurturing the next generation of athletes.
