Caitlin Clark’s rivals in tense nightclub standoff after WNBA All-Star game

The WNBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis brought together the league’s biggest stars for on-court fireworks and off-court celebration – but for two Minnesota Lynx players, the party nearly hit a wall.

Courtney Williams, fresh off a 13-point performance in the All-Star Game, and teammate Natisha Hiedeman found themselves livestreaming a tense encounter outside an Indianapolis nightclub. Known as StudBudz on Twitch, the pair had spent the weekend showcasing behind-the-scenes fun, including club appearances with Angel Reese, Skylar Diggins, Nneka Ogwumike, and even WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who danced with them to Knuck if You Buck.

But the mood shifted when their group was held up at the entrance of a club after the game.

All-Star moment turns into livestream standoff

“We in the ‘W’ and just got done at the All-Star Game,” Williams calmly told the bouncer. “I’m sorry, I’m not even trying to be funny but we should not be waiting in no line.”

Despite the delay, Williams stayed composed, even posing for photos with fans. With more friends joining, she reconsidered leaving but instead stayed put and kept the stream running.

“We always on stream,” Williams said to a bystander.

At one point, the group was told they’d be limited to seven guests. They briefly discussed moving to another venue before ultimately being allowed in. Hiedeman stayed back to ensure the full party gained entry.

Fans on social media were split over the incident.

“They should have been escorted into the club… ASAP! Bottle service… no charge!” one wrote on X. Others were less impressed: “She said we play in the W,” one user quipped, mocking Williams’ comments.

Still, the viral moment was only part of Williams’ weekend. During Saturday’s All-Star introductions, she captured even more attention by dancing for fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Lynx return to action Tuesday night against the Chicago Sky, but for now, Williams and Hiedeman’s All-Star antics are still echoing across social media.
