Caitlin Clark‘s ball handling skills has been one of her biggest areas of opportunities, as he lead the WNBA in turnovers last season, with an average of 5.6.
The Indiana Fever superstar has worked on her game, as she has become one of the faces of the league and of the sport.
A self-proclaimed competitive spirit, the Iowa native finished her rookie season averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks. Those numbers earned her the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, receiving 66 out of 67 votes from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
Caitlin Clark’s bouncy ball chaos nearly takes out a fan
Caitlin Clark remains sidelined with a quad strain, but is progressing and is expected to be reevaluated at the start of next week, as the Indiana Fever hopes to have her superstar back on the court to improve their 3-4 record, good enough for seventh place overall and thrid on the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, Caitlin is having fun on the sidelines. During a timeout of the Indiana Fever vs. Washington Mystics, Clark was playing with a bouncy ball and showing off her skills… until she lost control of the object and it bounced back to the stands, hitting a fan.
The WNBA superstar was embarrassed with the fact that she let the ball bounce all the way back to the spectators, but she quickly regained control of it. Some social media users poke fun of Clark, while others mentioned the fact that Angel Reese – one of Caitlin’s biggest rivals – probably would say that she can bounce the ball better than the Indiana Fever player.
Indiana will have a battle against Chicago
After beating the Washington Mystics at home on Tuesday night, the Indiana Fever travel to Chicago for a nationally televised showdown with the Sky on Saturday night. Indiana snapped a three-game skid with an 85-76 victory over Washington on Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 24 points while going 4-for-7 from 3-point range, while Lexie Hull added 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists. The Sky are also on an upward trajectory. Chicago dropped its first four contests to start the season, but has won two straight after sweeping a home-and-home set with Dallas.
Sky forward Angel Reese, the runner-up to Fever guard Caitlin Clark last season in Rookie of the Year voting, once again leads the WNBA in rebounding, pulling down 12.3 rebounds per night. It would be a great game to watch during the weekend.
