Injuries to her quadriceps, ankle, and groin led Caitlin Clark to play only 13 games during her second year in the WNBA and with the Indiana Fever.

She finished the year averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals, but in early September, the team confirmed that CC would be sidelined for the rest of the season. As she continues to recover, a new announcement has fans excited.

Caitlin will showcase her talent in another sport

After missing most of the regular season and not being present for the playoffs, where the Fever were eliminated in Game 5 of the semifinals against the Las Vegas Aces, the former Iowa player shared some encouraging news.

While her teammates take advantage of the season to rest and Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald, Chloe Bibby, and Damiris Dantas take this time to recover from their injuries, Clark announced that she will return to the LPGA Tour event at Pelican Golf Club.

“The Annika” is organized by legendary golfer and LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame member Annika Sorenstam, and Clark will be present for the second consecutive year.

The 23-year-old point guard and Gainbridge ambassador will compete in the Pro-Am on Wednesday, November 12 at The ANNIKA, while the tournament will take place from the 13th to the 16th:

I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company like Gainbridge® that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the Pro-Am with the best women golfers in the world.

Caitlin Clark.

When the news broke, fans went wild: “Let’s go CC,” “Pumped to watch this again!,” “Best news today,” “Woohooo let’s get ittttt CC!!!!” were some of the comments left on the Instagram post on the official @lpga_tour account.

This decision also fills fans with excitement, as it could be an indicator that the discomfort caused by her injuries may have been overcome. Meanwhile, Clark has not provided any updates on her recovery.
