Caitlin Clark turns DoorDash mishap into viral moment for Sydney Colson

The Indiana Fever are back in business. After dropping Game 1 to the Atlanta Dream, Indiana stormed to a 77-60 win Tuesday night, keeping their playoff run alive and reminding fans why this team refuses to fold under pressure.

But the Fever’s big night wasn’t the only thing fans were buzzing about. Hours after the final buzzer, a lighter-and much sweeter-story took over social media thanks to veteran guard Sydney Colson, a missed cookie order, and a surprise assist from DoorDash.

On Wednesday morning, DoorDash posted a video showing Colson receiving an apology in the form of 100 cookies and a handwritten note that read, “sorry syd enjoy your 100 cookies!” The company captioned the clip, “forgive us @sydjcolson ,” hoping to patch things up after a botched delivery earlier in the week.

That’s when Caitlin Clark, the Fever’s injured star, jumped into the comments. “You guys are so forgiven,” she wrote. DoorDash fired back with, “Thank you queen,” before Clark closed the exchange with: “Thank you for plugging everyone w gift cards.”

Clark Finds Ways to Stay in the Spotlight

Even with her season cut short by a right groin strain back in July, Clark hasn’t stopped making headlines. The No. 1 overall pick and one of the league’s brightest young stars averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists in her second year before the injury, numbers that showed her game was only expanding.

Now, sidelined and unable to take the floor, she’s become the Fever’s unofficial online spark plug. Her quick comment on Colson’s viral moment struck the perfect balance of humor and leadership-showing that she remains part of the team’s heartbeat, even if she’s watching from the sidelines.

For the Fever, who weathered injuries all season yet still captured the Commissioner’s Cup on July 1, this viral cookie saga felt like a break in the grind. It was levity. It was bonding. And it was another reminder that Clark’s presence stretches well beyond the box score.

Indiana now turns its attention to Thursday’s decisive Game 3 in Atlanta (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2). The Dream enter as 7.5-point favorites according to ESPN BET, but Indiana has already shown they can flip the script when the lights are brightest.
