Caitlin Clark toys with idea that she’ll be available for playoffs, causing chaos and total confusion among Indiana Fever fans

The WNBA has its very own Spider-Woman, and no, she’s not swinging from skyscrapers. She’s draped in Indiana Fever colors instead of red and blue, dropping dimes and draining threes.

Caitlin Clark‘s court vision and reflexes on the floor often feel otherworldly, almost like a superhero’s sixth sense. But it’s her playful personality off the court that recently caused a stir among Fever fans.

During an Instagram Live hosted by Sydney Colson, Clark hinted she might suit up for the Indiana Fever in the playoffs.

The tease, though clearly lighthearted, sent fans into a frenzy. Aliyah Boston, her teammate, immediately appeared concerned, embodying the responsible friend who knows how quickly rumors can spread. Colson tried to end the broadcast, but the moment had already spiraled into online chaos.

A screen-recorded clip shared on X captured the exchange perfectly:

“caitlin so unserious she out here pulling a tom holland

A voice said: ‘rest up.’

Caitlin Clark: ‘I will I got a big game coming up sunday….oh shoot did they just hear I’m playing’

Aliyah Boston: ‘you’re playing? they heard you say you’re playing?’ with concern

Sydney Colson: ‘lemme end it, wait lemme end it’ “

Fans immediately reacted, some in disbelief and others in hopeful anticipation. Comments ranged from, “Is she actually??” to “CAITLIN CLARK IS PLAYING ON SUNDAY OMG OMG YESSS PLAYOFF HOOPS.”

The playful moment highlighted Clark‘s sense of humor and ability to engage her audience, even as she remains sidelined for the rest of the season.

Reality sets in: Clark will remain out for the playoffs

Despite the excitement, Clark will not be returning this year. The Indiana Fever have already adjusted their strategy without her.

The team faces the Atlanta Dream in the first round of the playoffs, tip-off at 3 p.m. ET, and Atlanta holds an advantage given that their two regular-season wins came with Clark absent.

Veterans like Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie weighed in, emphasizing caution.

Parker explained, “I know it’s difficult to look at the big picture, especially if you’re living with tunnel vision and you’ve worked so hard to get to where you’re at. But it’s the smart thing.”

Leslie added, “I would not put Caitlin Clark back on the floor this season and the only reason why I say that is because I had the injury that she has.

“That deep groin injury is nothing to play around with. It can feel like you never had it, you make one move, one cut, and boom, she’s back in the same spot.”

Ultimately, the Instagram Live session was a mix of fun and chaos, showcasing Clark‘s personality while also reminding fans of the importance of patience and proper recovery.

Even Brianna Turner jumped into the comments to jokingly quiet the excitement.

The playful tease left fans buzzing and speculating, but the consensus remains: Caitlin Clark‘s focus now is on healing, with her return anticipated for the 2026 season.
