Caitlin Clark takes her competitive spirit to every level with the most adorable competitor

Caitlin Clarkhas been preparing physically and mentally to arrive fully ready for her third WNBA season wearing No. 22 for the Indiana Fever. After missing most of last season, a setback that hit hard given how close the team came to making a deeper postseason run, the motivation is clear. There’s a sense that with her on the floor, a few more steps could have been taken.

The league itself is going through visible changes, many of them influenced by figures like Clark. As the WNBA continues to evolve, her presence remains part of that shift. And while much of the conversation centers on competition and expectations, her offseason moments have also gone viral, proving that her drive doesn’t disappear when the games stop.

A competitor in every setting

It’s well known that Clark brings an edge to everything she does. That mindset now shows up in an unexpected place: her interactions with Zayn, the young son of Fever assistant coach Karima Christmas-Kelly. Around the team, the message has always been to go the extra mile for possession, to compete for every ball. Even in playful settings, that culture is present.

Clark has frequently been seen playing with Zayn during pregame shootarounds. In clips that fans have dubbed “little bro” moments, she swings, spins, and tosses him around with ease, turning warmups into something lighter. The videos travel fast online, not because of spectacle, but because they reveal another layer of her personality.

More than game face

On the court, Clark is focused and intense. Off it, especially in those pregame windows, she shows a different tone. There’s less of the locked-in guard and more of the fun aunt energy, laughing and engaging before tipoff. It’s still competitive in spirit, just expressed in a way that connects with teammates and family around the organization.

Clark brings an edge to everything she does.

For Zayn, it may simply feel like fun before a game. But years from now, he’ll likely look back on these moments as stories about growing up around a player who treated every space – practice, shootaround, even playtime – with the same commitment.
