Caitlin Clark roasts teammate online, gets a savage comeback from Lexie Hull

The Indiana Fever might be down a star this Saturday, but the vibes around the team are still strong-and social media is loving it.

With Caitlin Clark still out nursing a quad strain from the May 24 game against the Liberty, the team’s off-court content is doing its part to keep fans engaged. This week, it was Lexie Hull’s turn in the Fever’s“Get to Know” series on Instagram. Her quirky confession? She loves A1 sauce… with cheddar cheese.

Clark couldn’t resist. “A1 and cheddar. What does that even mean?… Huhhhhhh ,” she commented on the post.

Two days later, the tables turned when Clark’s own “Get to Know” video dropped. Rather than let her moment shine, Clark kept the joke alive: “Not weird like you @lexiehulll,” she wrote. Hull wasn’t about to let that slide.

“@caitlinclark22 Super uninteresting gal,” Hull replied, “but this does explain why you’ve always been obsessed with me and @lacie.hull.”

Teammates With Chemistry-and Comedic Timing

The back-and-forth wasn’t just funny-it gave fans a window into the team’s chemistry. “We mess with each other all the time,”Hull said Friday, smiling when asked about the exchange. “It keeps things light, especially during a long season.”

Though Clark won’t suit up against the Sky, she remains involved from the bench and is expected to be re-evaluated after the weekend. “I’m not going to rush coming back,” she told The Indianapolis Star. “It’s just not worth it. But after this weekend, we’ll have a better idea.”

With Clark out, the Fever (3-7) will lean more on Hull and the rest of the backcourt to keep pace with Angel Reese and the Sky (4-5), who are finding their rhythm.

“Lexie brings energy and grit,” Fever coach Christie Sides told The Athletic. “She’s going to be a big piece of this one.”

Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET Saturday from the United Center.
