Caitlin Clark makes her feelings about LeBron James very clear and divides fans

After a successful rookie year, Caitlin Clark quickly became one of the most visible faces of the WNBA.

Now, despite her second year in the league being marred by injuries, the Indiana Fever star continues to shine.

Meanwhile, in the NBA, several figures stand out, such as Stephen Curry and LeBron James, who is entering his 23rd season at 40 years old. But… who is Clark’s favorite?

On several occasions, the 23-year-old has admitted her preference for King James over the rest of the NBA figures. In fact, her fandom only deepened after the Los Angeles Lakers star showed his support for CC when she debuted in the WNBA.

“That’s one of my idols. LeBron is the GOAT to me. He’s my favorite player of all time.”

The truth is that the debate over trying to determine or define the GOAT of basketball has been unresolved for years. And the fight is between LeBron and Michael Jordan.

Of course, LBJ fans, upon learning they had Clark “on their team,” didn’t hesitate to express their joy:

“Caitlin Clark, you are my WGOAT,” one user replied. “Caitlin, they can never make me hate you,” another declared. “Yeah, she’s always been good in my book,” commented another.

However, Jordan fans claim that his 6-0 record in the NBA Finals and his 10 league scoring titles in his 15 seasons establish him as the best.

Meanwhile, James fans counter by claiming that LeBron has more Finals appearances (10) and is the league’s all-time leading scorer. Despite this, they can’t agree on who deserves the GOAT title, although Clark has already sided with one of them.

CC’s Unsuccessful Return to the Court

Despite the Indiana Fever star suffering two injuries this year that caused her to miss more games than she’d liked, her return to the court didn’t go as expected.

On May 26, it was confirmed that CC would be sidelined due to a strained left quadriceps muscle. This injury kept her out for five games.

A month later, her left groin injury has also caused Clark to support the team from the bench for the last five games the Indiana Fever has played.

In their matchup against the Golden State Valkyries, she fell after making light contact with an opposing defender and lost her balance. Although her slip wasn’t serious, it was only the beginning of the ordeal.

The Fever fell by a crushing 80-61 in front of their home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Clark finished with 10 points (including 2 of 5 three-pointers, a notable improvement over her previous slump). She also added 6 assists and 5 rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Now, Indiana awaits the Atlanta Dream on Friday.

With a 9-10 record on the season, Indiana has four games remaining before the All-Star break, where Clark is captain. Can they bounce back?
