Caitlin Clark issues a special warning to Sophie Cunningham about her diet at the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am

The famous “Tres Leches” trio of Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, and Lexie Hull stole the spotlight once again, but this time it wasn’t for their performances with the Indiana Fever.

At the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am tournament, where CC was present for the second consecutive year, her two teammates were also present at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair as guest caddies for the event. However, a comment by Clark about Sophie’s diet stole the show.

The WNBA stars swapped the courts and basketball for golf and enjoyed an evening of sport, celebrities, and friendship.

In addition to Clark, American soccer legend Briana Scurry, NASCAR driver Carson Hocevar, and even Kai Trump, the niece of US President Donald Trump, were also in attendance.

There was no shortage of laughter, but there was one moment that stole the show. Clark got some beef bites halfway through the round and offered some to Sophie and Lexie. However, she first joked with the 29-year-old guard, who has an official partnership with Arby’s:

“Sophie, can you even eat these since they’re not Arby’s?” Clark asked.

Sophie responded with a gesture that said more than a thousand words: she laughed, took the meat bites, and took a bite.

Meanwhile, the Fever stars are coming off a playoff semifinal run, but neither Clark nor Cunningham were able to play, as injuries sidelined them well before the postseason began.

The 23-year-old star suffered injuries throughout the season: to her quadriceps, ankle, and groin. She only played 13 games. Still recovering, she is preparing for her third year on the team, as only she, Aliyah Boston, and Makayla Timpson have contracts with Indiana Fever for next season. The rest of her teammates will be free agents.

Sophie, meanwhile, tore the LCM in her right knee. She had to undergo surgery in August, putting an end to her first year with the team after six seasons with the Phoenix Mercury.

Fortunately, Hull was the only one of them who did not get injured and averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
