Although there are still five months to go until the start of the 2025 WNBA season, Caitlin Clark can’t wait any longer. The Indiana Fever guard has made the most of her first offseason, but a recent comment on Instagram made it clear that she is eager to return to the court.
Clark had an exceptional first year as a professional. Not only did she break several rookie and overall records, but she was also a key piece in the team’s return to the postseason after an eight-year absence.
After being eliminated in the first round of playoffs, the former Iowa Hawkeye dedicated herself to enjoying a well-deserved rest, attending several college basketball games, NBA games, and even some NFL games. However, a Fever Instagram post reignited the competitive fire in Clark.
Aliyah Boston ignited Caitlin Clark
In a recent Instagram clip, the Fever showed forward/center Aliyah Boston working out on the court with a trainer. The clip is only a couple of minutes long, but you can see that Boston is taking her upcoming debut with Vinyl BC in the 3×3 Unrivaled league very seriously.
Boston’s intense work inspired Clark, who responded by saying, “GOT ME FIRED UP.” Acknowledging Clark’s enthusiasm, Boston replied, “AS YOU SHOULD BE.” Clark wasn’t the only one. Teammate, guard Lexie Hull, also responded to the video by saying, “Yes, ma’am.”
Meanwhile, the team captioned the post, “On the offseason grind with Aliyah Boston at Worcester Academy.” However, Clark, Boston, and Hull still have plenty of offseason left. The 2025 WNBA season kicks off on May 16, and Indiana will be in action on the 17th, hosting Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky.
Fans are excited, too
The fans’ response was also immediate. “Is it May yet?” asked one. “Hell yeah!” said another. “Dynamic duo,” said a third, and another agreed, saying, “Y’all could be like Shaq & Kobe,” recalling the legendary Los Angeles Lakers duo.
As Boston and Hull prepare for their debut at Unrivaled and Clark rests after an intense 2024 season, fans have another five months to wait for the start of the season. However, Aliyah’s training proves that the wait will be worth it.
