Caitlin Clark fans blast Fever head coach after win over Seattle

The Indiana Fever ended their West Coast trip on a high note Tuesday night, defeating the Seattle Storm 94-86.

While the team’s collective performance was impressive, Caitlin Clark‘s struggles from beyond the arc persisted, drawing sharp fan reactions from the locker room footage.

Coming off consecutive losses to Las Vegas and Golden State, Indiana flipped the script.

This time, rather than collapsing after leading by double digits, they maintained control, building a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter and finishing strong.

Aliyah Boston erupted with a career-high 31 points, and Kelsey Mitchell added 26, including five threes, leading a balanced offensive attack.

Despite the win, Clark couldn’t find her rhythm. She managed just six points on 3-of-13 shooting and missed all six of her three-point attempts.

That’s now a concerning stretch, she’s just 1-of-23 from deep over her last games, and an alarming 1-for-28 on the road.

The numbers and reaction

Clark‘s slump has been well-documented. Recent outings include a harsh seven-miss night from long range in Golden State and a 1-of-10 performance in Las Vegas, where she still had 19 points and 10 assists.

ESPN notes she’s averaging 12 points and 9.3 assists through these challenging games, underscoring that she remains a catalyst even when the shot isn’t falling.

Postgame locker-room clips captured fans’ buzz about her usage, taking to X to share their thoughts. One supporter commented:

“Notice nothing positive for CC from the coach in this “

Another fan criticized coach Stephanie White’s game plan:

“Stephanie white lied; she said she was going to get more creative for CC for open shots and set plays. It didn’t happen. She is being used. This is on purpose! She is being used to pass and pull the defenders to her so others can score. No set plays for her but for the others. We will see how many high fives are being given when the arena is half full, and there are no more pay raises!”

Wear and tear also came up:

“CC is getting worn out bringing the ball up every damn time after a made basket, while being bumped and grabbed the whole way. Is her quad fully recovered?”

Tensions around Clark were clear, with some fans going as far as to question her future in the league:

“I hope the Fever is not killing the goose that lays the golden egg! Time for CC to leave the Fever? Europe is where she needs to go! To hell with the WNBA!”

Others wondered about her lack of court time:

“Question is why they stopped cc??”

These voices reflect larger concerns about her role and fatigue.

Clark‘s absence earlier in the season due to a quad strain didn’t just affect her, it visibly dented the WNBA’s viewership. Ratings dropped by over half during her injury hiatus.

Her return sparked both hope and renewed spotlight, but it’s clear she hasn’t regained full form yet.
