Burglaries continue at celebrities’ homes: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce could console Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt has joined a growing list of high-profile celebrities that includes Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow being targeted by burglars, as his $5.5 million Los Feliz mansion was reportedly broken into while he was away promoting his upcoming Formula 1 film.

The timing of the break-in – while Pitt was involved in high-visibility press events – mirrors a pattern of criminal activity affecting other well-known public figures, including NFL superstars Mahomes and Burrow.

While details remain limited, it’s believed that Pitt’s home was targeted during his absence amid the F1 promotional tour, where he dropped the movie trailer and made public appearances.

The project, which he is starring in and co-producing alongside Lewis Hamilton, has captured international attention for its unprecedented access to actual race weekends and behind-the-scenes footage.

But as Pitt’s film campaign gained traction, burglars appeared to be tracking his movements – yet another example of how public schedules can be weaponized by organized criminals.

Mahomes, Kelce familiar with security worries

The recent wave of burglaries involving high-profile athletes and actors highlights a troubling reality: fame has made these individuals increasingly vulnerable to calculated break-ins.

Just earlier this year, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had his home targeted while he was away. Fellow Chiefs star Travis Kelce has also dealt with privacy issues, especially as his relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift has catapulted him into the global spotlight.

Given their experiences, Mahomes and Kelce may be in a unique position to offer guidance – or even concrete support – to someone like Brad Pitt.

Kelce and Pitt have crossed paths before through celebrity events and brand partnerships, and Kelce’s familiarity with the dual demands of fame and privacy could be valuable.

Kelce has spoken publicly about enhancing personal security, especially after becoming one of the most recognizable figures in sports and entertainment.

From hiring private security to increasing smart home surveillance, his approach could serve as a template for other high-profile individuals like Pitt who are reevaluating their safety protocols.

Mahomes, meanwhile, is known for taking a team-oriented approach even off the field. Given his own encounter with home intrusions, he could potentially share security contacts or technology solutions that have since helped him better protect his family and property.

In a time when public figures are increasingly at risk, a collaborative approach to safety might be more important than ever.

Poor timing for Pitt

As for Pitt, his break-in couldn’t have come at a worse time. The F1 movie, shot at real races and expected to be a cinematic game-changer for sports storytelling, was meant to be a career milestone.

Instead, it’s now linked with an unsettling invasion of privacy and growing questions about celebrity vulnerability.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. No suspects have been arrested yet, but security footage and local eyewitness reports are being reviewed. Pitt has reportedly increased security measures around his home in response to the attempted burglary.

In an era where fame can bring both acclaim and risk, the need for stronger celebrity security networks – and shared advice between stars like Pitt, Mahomes, and Kelce – may be more important than ever.

This isn’t just a string of isolated incidents. It’s a trend of crime – and it’s not slowing down.
